Folke Gräsbeck     Artistic Director             2002–2024

Bosse Mellberg     Director of Korpo Jazz

Initiating Working Committee in 2001–02: Kurt-Erik Långbacka (Chairman), Fabian Dahlström, Marianne Ringbom.

The Festival Sibelius in Korpo is a ‘daughter festival’ to the bigger and older festival Korpo Jazz, the director of which is Bosse Mellberg.

The organizing team of the Sibelius in Korpo Festival, Executive Director Petri Kirkkomäki and Artistic Director Folke Gräsbeck.

From the start of the festival in 2002, many musicians have participated. The historical visits in 1886 and 1887 of the Sibelius family included prolonged summer evenings of inspired music making, hence also the players from that time are listed. The hostess of Korpo gård, Ina Wilenius, had prepared the visit of the Sibelius family by acquiring all Beethoven’s piano trios.
